  • Excellent AMOLED display.

Vivo V15 with pop up camera launched in India

So finally India has the sibling of Vivo V15 pro, which looks very similar to V15 pro except for the hardware and back camera. It carries the same pop-up selfie camera, slim bezels, AI-based rear camera, gradient rear finish and of course Android Pie like V15.

The Vivo V15 will go on offline and online sale in India starting April 1 which includes Vivo India eStore,, Flipkart, Paytm etc. It will be sold in three colour variant, Royal blue, Frozen black, and Glamour Red.

Vivo V15 comes with 6.53-inch full view display having a resolution of 1080X2340 with an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9. the screen is protected using 5th generation 2.5D corning gorilla glass. Since it uses the AMOLED display, so it is very bright and vivid and compares to V15 pro the screen has no difference. The display is bog and offers great viewing angles.

Vivo V15 uses Mediatek Helio P70 processor which is a 2.1 GHz octa-core processor. It is coupled with Mali G72 GPU. So gaming would be fun in this device but could hinder performance at times. The V15 pro comes with Snapdragon 675. So in terms of performance, it is surely a downgrade.

At present, V15 will be sold only in 6 GB variant. Hopefully later point of time they may launch another variant.

Storage would be 64GB when it will go on sale on April 1. You have the option of expanding the storage up to 256 GB using microSD card which is sufficient considering that now you have so many cloud services where you can store data.

The phone runs on Funtouch OS 9 based on Android 9.0 pie. Wonder how many of you like FunTouch

Rear Camera

The main highlights of V15 are its triple camera setup featuring a 12 MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, and 8MP wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 5 MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture for portraits. It’s unfortunate that Viso V15 can picture up to 24 MP resolution.

Front Camera

Like Vivo 15 pro, V15 has a pop up front selfie camera with a resolution of 32 MP and an aperture of f/2.0. Although selfies would be great in this camera low light photography will be a big pain.

the Vivo V15 gets juice from a massive 4000mAh battery which supports Vivo’s dual engine fast charging technology.

The device measures 161.97 X 75.93 X 8.54 mm and weight is about 190 grams

The Vivo V15 supports 4G connectivity ( Can’t expect 5G at this price), has all basic sensor, 3.5 mm audio jack ( Thank God they are not following the trend) and a Micro USB 2.0 port ( That’s really funny that in 2019 also we have to live with Micro USB. Why Vivo? Cant you afford a C type port at this price)

The Vivo V15 has a price tag of Rs 23990 in India

Vivo V15 will be available in all major online and offline retail chains from April 1st.

Although Vivo has many kinds of stuff to offer at Rs 23990, it would make more sense to get for Vivo V15 pro as because we have a better camera, a better processor in V15 Pro. Having a price difference of Rs 5000 is not a big deal considering that we have slightly better hardware in V15 Pro. What do you guys think? Do write in the comment section
